Regular readers of the blog likely know that I am a fan of Honda cars and have reviewed several Honda-themed watches. I have a Civic Type-R Casio (as well as a fake), and the most popular blog on the site is that of a Honda Speedometer watch. Likely because of this, I recently received another Honda Speedometer watch as a gift to commemorate a milestone. It was quite a surprise, but also quite fun, so a review was in order.
First Impressions of the Honda Speedometer Watch
The watch came packaged in a vintage-style oil can (reminiscent of the Pepsi Seiko 5). According to the note included, the watch was manufactured in the early to mid-1990s.
Honda Speedometer Watch Details
The dial of the Honda Speedometer is black with white markings. It features a mph Speedometer reading up to 205. The Honda wing logo at the bottom indicates that this was likely a promotional item for motorcycles. My guess is that it went along with something like a CBR900 FireBlade or RC51.
The 35mm case is 90s-sized and features a brushed finish. The bezel is thick and rounded, making the dial look smaller.

An 18mm black padded leather strap came with the watch. In the interest of preserving it, I will likely swap it out for a black/white Deployant Sailcloth.

Honda Speedometer Watch Movement
Unlike the previous digital module, this Honda Speedometer watch is powered by a basic 3-hand quartz analog movement.
The polished caseback features the reference number, PR-1132. I googled this and found a few posts stating that Fossil produced the watch.

I love experiencing new and different fun watches. This one was unexpected, but a welcome addition to my collection!
