Like StrapHabit, Casio is selling pink products with a goal of raising $20,000 for breast cancer. While we are promoting our Brodinkee x StrapHabit MWP straps G-Shock debuted two pink themed "Casioak. watches. The GMAS2100P-4A shown here in the smaller case size as well as the full size black with pink accents GA2100P-1A.
When I recently visited the Windup Watch Fair and saw this model in person, I decided to support Casio and bring home a gift for my wife (that I might also want to steal occasionally). The Casioaks that I've gotten for her have been her favorite watches, and this one looks great in hot pink!
I've now owned a number of Casioak models. Since I've already covered the ins and outs of the Casioak in detail, this review will just focus on the unique details of this new model. For more info, check out the other articles here.
The color chosen for this watch looks great! Casio made it a deeper pink than we chose for the MWP straps. It works well in the Casioak package, and diffferentiates it from the existing light peach model.
The entire watch and dial are rendered in the same pink color.
The markers are a slightly darker pink to help differentiate them.
Like the other models, it uses lumed hands that are white, offering great legibility. the surrounds are also a metallic lighter pink.
It also has a bright backlight and LED side light.
The display is a negative pink with gray LCDs.
It uses the same module as the other GA2100 and GMAS2100 models.
Wearing the Grape Jelly Casioak
This model has the same great wearability as the other models as the dimensions and weight are the same. The color should definitely attract attention.
The clasp is polished metal rather than color-matched plastic on this model.
One of my favorite G-shock models in a great color that is helping fight cancer? What's not to like?
