It's hard to believe, but the StrapHabit blog contains almost 200 articles. Recently, I started wondering which ones are the most popular, so I logged in to Google Analytics. I examined the most viewed blogs over various periods, ranging from the last week to the previous two years. While the list changes over time, as search behavior and algorithms change, what was interesting was that most of the articles remained the same.
Since older articles would have the unfair advantage of time to accumulate more views, I looked at the last month and compiled a list of the articles with the most views. You might notice a few trends.
Although I've previously owned and enjoyed an Orange Samurai, when I was offered a white dial SRPE37 King Samurai in trade, I couldn't resist. I'm a sucker for a white dial Seiko with black accents, and thought it would be a fun one to experience.
Despite having covered almost every Moonswatch variant on this blog, I've never gotten my hands on an original Omega Speedmaster Professional - until now!
I purchased a Casio AE1200WH simply to test out StrapHabit's TQ18 replacement straps, but I liked it much more than expected. At only $29 MSRP, is the Casio Royale a budget G-Shock? Read the review to find out!
My review of the Seiko SPB143 62MAS is one of the most visited StrapHabit blogs. When Seiko released an updated version, the SPB453, I pre-ordered one to write a watch review review of it as soon as I could. Click to learn more about this new version.
Like many watch collectors, I found myself wanting fitness watch functions, but unwilling to wear a fitness watch. I still wanted something that wore and looked like the watches I'm used to. I decided to try out the Casio G-Shock DWH5600 with Bluetooth to see if it could bridge both worlds.
I had just gotten used to reading a moonphase when Swatch released this new complication. Click to learn how the Earthphase complication works.
Moonswatches were all simple color changes until Swatch x Omega released the Mission to Moonphase Full Moon Snoopy with a new module in all white.
I recently reviewed the Seiko Prospex 62MAS SPB453, the updated version of SPB143, one of my favorite $1,000 watches. The changes are subtle, so I put together a comparison using photos.
At StrapHabit, I receive a lot of messages asking for strap recommendations for a particular watch. While I love the opportunity to interact with customers and hear about their favorite watches, I thought that it would be useful to provide an in-depth guide.
The diver's watch category is one of the most popular among watch collectors. Take a look at some of StrapHabit's favorite dive watches.
Seiko loves reissues of dive watches from its back catalog. Reinterpretations of the 62MAS, Willard, and Marinemaster models have become quite popular. Seiko has reissued another lesser-known 60s dive watch, the 6105-8000. People are calling it the Slim Turtle.
New collectors or those on a budget often set hard limits on what they can spend on a watch, and that number is often $500. Despite recent cost increases, there are still a lot of great watches that can be bought for (often significantly) less than that amount.
Watch collectors love things that tell the time in the dark and look cool while doing it. Here are the top 11 watches with the best application of lume.
A great GMT is your trusty friend to help keep your bearings during long days of travel. Here are some of my favorite GMT watches reviewed by StrapHabit.
Recently, what appears to be a vintage Honda Speedometer watch appeared. Is it real, a replica, or something else? Read the hands-on review to find out.
