These straps are NOT silicone, they are genuine FKM rubber. They feel nearly as soft and flexible as silicone but are much stronger, and resistant to picking up fuzz or cracking. In the photos, you can see how flexible they are, and that they can be completely folded without stretching or cracking.
Compared to traditional vulcanized rubber, FKM adds increased durability, and chemical and heat resistance.

To be honest, I’ve only had The Straphabit rubber watch band for only a week. It appears to be made of quality material. Changing out the band was simple due to the quick release springs on the band.
I am old-school and I wear a watch on my wrist at all times. It looks professional and sporty at the same time. I will know better in six months how it holds up, but it appears to be made as I said before of quality material and should last a long time.
I recently ordered two Rubber straps from Strap habit (1) white and (1) orange for my newly acquired Squale 1521. I couldn't be happier with straps and the company, I will always consider looking at strap habit when I am in the market for new watch straps.
