Horween Leather Racing Watch Straps

StrapHabit Racing straps are crafted from leather sourced from the Chicago-based Horween tannery. These will initially be a limited release depending on demand.
The truth is that StrapHabit's founder, Nick, wanted a strap to pair with his racing watches, which we didn't offer. He wanted a classic racing strap with a dramatic patina to provide a vintage look. We decided to produce a limited run to see if other people like the straps as much as we do.
These straps feature ventilation holes inspired by lightweight racing parts and pair perfectly with your vintage or modern racing watches. These are made from Horween's Rowdy leather and are not padded. Compared to our Horween Chromexcel straps, this leather will patina much more quickly, taking on a worn, vintage look after only a few wears. They maintain Horween's legendary durability while offering a look with more character.
A water-resistant leather lining keeps the strap soft against your wrist. The Horween and StrapHabit logos are embossed, as is the strap size.
Horween Chromexcel Leather Watch Straps

StrapHabit brings you watch straps crafted from Chromexcel leather sourced at the Chicago-based Horween tannery. Chromexcel is considered one of the best types of leather for a watch strap. It offers supreme durability, yet feels exceptionally soft and supple to the touch, almost buttery-smooth. The straps are padded, but still quite flexible.
These straps also deliver a character that improves with age. Chromexcel's vegetable tanning process uses a proprietary blend of oils and waxes to create a naturally water-resistant surface that develops a rich patina over time. The oils provide comfort while resisting cracking and premature wear, and also add a unique personality to your timepiece. The result is a "pull-up" effect that shifts colors as the strap is folded or flexed. Minor scratches can also be rubbed off thanks to this effect.
A water-resistant leather lining is applied to keep the strap soft against your wrist. The Horween and StrapHabit logos are embossed, as is the strap size. A high-quality stainless steel buckle features a brushed finish and attractive grooves.
This is StrapHabit's first Horween strap. If you do (or don't) choose to buy one, I'd love to hear your feedback. I'm not sure if these will become a standard item in the catalog yet, so if you want one, I'd recommend not waiting!

Our StrapHabit elastic watch straps are the most comfortable watch straps available! The elastic design securely holds the watch to your wrist but allows them to expand and contract as your wrist changes size with temperature throughout the day.
The material is elastic marine nationale parachute style, but the straps have a traditional military style dual pass design. It has 3 keepers, one of which is floating. We find this design more comfortable, plus it allows the strap to be swapped without removing the spring bars. We also find them easier to take on and off and adjust to your wrist.

StrapHabit and STANDARD H first crossed paths at Windup NY in 2022. Wesley threw out the idea of collaborating on a watch strap, but neither of us had just the right idea. We've regularly kept in touch ever since then and Nick was even a guest on The STANDARD H Podcast.
Wesley recently started the Instagram page @taupestrapclub, and we decided that color would be perfect for collaboration! Now we've added a versatile black option as well.
STANDARD H describes its apparel as "elevated basics." With that in mind, we developed an elevated basic watch strap. What better than a simple and durable military-style pass-through?
To signify the meeting of both brands, a subtle "SH" is laser engraved on the buckle.
